The 33-year-old veteran played in only nine games for the Wizards last season due to a back injury, which was a major downfall from his previous season. In 2017-2018, he averaged 16.6 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 30.4 minutes per game for the Charlotte Hornets. He is best known for his time with the Orlando Magic, where he led them to the NBA Finals in 2009, before falling to the Los Angeles Lakers. Once he joined those Lakers, his career has gone downhill, but he has still averaged a career 17.4 points and 12.6 rebounds per game.
Miles has also been well-traveled, especially in this past year, as he was involved in the trade that saw Marc Gasol go to the Toronto Raptors in February. He was sent the other way in that deal, and will now join the Wizards, as the 32-year-old ended up averaging 9.3 points in 22.6 minutes per game for Memphis.
