Wendell Smallwood had the go-ahead touchdown in this one, as he scored from four yards out in the fourth quarter, sealing the home win for the defending Super Bowl Champions. Smallwood had 56 yards on 10 carries to lead the Eagles' rushing attack,
It was a historic day for Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri, who tied Morten Anderson's career record of 565 field goals, as he went 3-for-3 on the night.
Wentz, playing in his first game since December 10th, turned the ball over twice inside the 20, including a fumble, which the Colts could not capitalize on. His lone touchdown pass found tight end Dallas Goedert in the first quarter, which capped off a 79-yard, 12-play scoring drive.
On the other side, Andrew Luck had a decent game, not turning the ball over, but threw for just 164 yards and a touchdown in the loss. He did not get much help on offense, as he led his own rushing attack with a 33-yard run. The Colts dropped to 1-2 on the season as they move on to play host to the winless Houston Texans.
Meanwhile, the Eagles look to continue to improve with Wentz back, as they will visit the Tennessee Titans next week.
