The former member of the Toronto Raptors has only appeared in 15 games for the Spurs this season, and has not been in a game since playing just two minutes on January 8th against the Boston Celtics. The 33-year-old did not travel with the team for their six-game road trip before the All-Star break, which signaled that his time had come with the Spurs so quickly. Carroll has 13 years of NBA experience under his belt, and has 9.0 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. His best season came in 2017-2018 when he posted 13.5 points per contest with the Brooklyn Nets. The forward has also spent time with the Memphis Grizzlies, Denver Nuggets, and Atlanta Hawks.
The Rockets are also expected to add Jeff Green, who was waived by the Utah Jazz in December. He had recently signed a one-year contract with them in July, but ended up appearing in just 30 games, recording 7.8 points and 2.7 rebounds in his lone season with them. The forward has played with eight different teams in his career, averaging 13 points and 4.4 rebounds during his time in the league. These additions are the Rockets' attempt to add a bit more size to their rather small roster, as they open up the second half on Thursday night against the Golden State Warriors.
