Kennard also missed their home game last Monday, which was a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, and he will be reevaluated on January 7th. Following just that date, Kennard is expected to sit for at least six games, keeping the 12-20 Pistons short-handed for their West Coast trip.
The former Duke Blue Devil is averaging 15.8 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game, as he forced head coach Dwane Casey's hand to put him in the starting lineup recently. He is in his third NBA season, and so far his most productive as this is the first season that he is averaging in double figures. Although, the shooting guard joins the likes of Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose, and Christian Wood as Pistons who have been dealing with knee issues as of late.
