The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to a deal with the No. 2 overall pick in last June's NBA Draft, Brandon Ingram. The team announced the deal on Tuesday as a four-year, $23 million contract.
The 18-year-old averaged 12.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists in five games during the 2016 Summer League. He ranked second on the team in scoring.
In just one season at Duke, the young star was named the ACC Freshman of the Year, and named to the second-team All-ACC. He ranked sixth in the conference in scoring at 17.3 points, while also averaging 6.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks.
Ingram is hoping to be a major part of the post-Kobe Bryant, rebuilding era that the Los Angeles Lakers organization is going through.
