Oklahoma got off to a 37-18 lead in the first half by forcing the Cyclones to turn the ball over. Iowa State had 10 turnovers in a span of 15 minutes in the first half. The Cyclones are normally impressive on their home court, having a 21-game home winning streak snapped last week.
The only positive sign for Iowa State in the first half was Jameel McKay's 10 points. He finished with a double-double of of 14 points and 12 rebounds. They finished the first half with their lowest scoring half of the season, scoring just 18 points at the break. They turned it around by scoring 59 points in the second half, good for their highest scoring half of the season.
Iowa State improved to 21-8 overall, 11-6 in Big 12 play, and will visit TCU on Saturday night. Oklahoma fell to 20-9 overall, 11-6 in the conference, and will host Kansas on Saturday afternoon.
