Athletic director David Matlin announced the news with a press release on Tuesday, as they welcome in a guy that has coached four separate programs in his college football career. That includes stops with Rice Tulsa and Pittsburgh as well, so this will be his fifth head coaching gig in the sport. The 55-year-old is mostly known for what he did with the Sun Devils, as he went 46-32, including 31-23 in the Pac 12, with five bowl appearances in six seasons with them.
He only spent one season with Pittsburgh before quickly leaving for the Sun Devils job, and is now the first coach of the program in four tries to not have any connections to Hawaii. In 12 seasons as a college football head coach, Graham has an overall record of 95-61. He broke in to the sport as a linebackers coach in 2001, this after spending a long time as a high school coach in Texas, and did not get a head coaching gig until 2006 with Rice. He will now be enjoying the warm weather and hopefully more success with a program that's on the rise.
