The Miami Heat may be without Dwayne Wade heading in to next season, which is an unfortunate sight they will have to get use to. Although, they will have some familiarity sticking around their roster, as veteran Udonis Haslem announced that he is returning to the team for his 17th NBA season. The 39-year-old is returning to Miami on a one-year contract, worth the veteran's minimum of $2.6 million.
Haslem hinted his return to the Heat on Instagram on Tuesday, right before the team made the news official. He is just the sixth player in NBA history to play at least 17 years with one franchise. He made his NBA debut after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent out of Florida in 2003. He has since been a part of all three of the team's NBA Championships, including their first one in the 2005-2006 season. Over the 17 seasons, he has averaged 7.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game for the only team he has, and may ever play for.
