Harden recorded his 19th straight game with at least 30 points, including efforts of 57 and 58 points, as he has at least 40 points in 10 of his past 13 games. He shot 14-of-30 from the floor on Saturday, including 8-for-19 from beyond the arc and 12-for-15 from the charity strike.
The Lakers forced a back-and-forth affair to begin the overtime period, but Brandon Ingram's missed three-pointer gave the Rockets the advantage. Both teams were playing in overtime for a second straight game, as the Rockets fell to the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night and the Lakers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder on the road Thursday night.
Kuzma finished with 32 points for the Lakers, while Ingram added 21, as the Lakers' lead for the eighth and final playoff spot dropped to just a half game over the Los Angeles Clippers. They were playing most of the game without head coach Luke Walton, who was ejected from the game in the third quarter for arguing with the officials.
The Lakers continue to be challenged without LeBron James, as they will host the Golden State Warriors on Monday night. The Rockets will also be in a battle that night when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers.
