Current Oakland Raiders and former New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck announced earlier this week that he is retiring from the NFL. The 32-year-old made this decision following his 11th season in the league, and says he is walking away with "very few regrets."
Tuck played his first nine seasons with the Giants, where he won two Super Bowls, which is why he announced on 98.7 ESPN that he will be retiring as a Giant. The defensive end spent his last two seasons with the Raiders, and the team released a statement praising Tuck's leadership and everything he has done for the team.
Tuck played 147 games since being drafted in 2005, recording 66 1/2 sacks, 22 forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, and three interceptions. He was selected as an All-Pro in 2008.
Tuck's first Super Bowl win came in Super Bowl 43, when the Giants ended the Patriots' bid for a perfect season with a 17-14 win. Four years later, Tuck and the Giants got to the Patriots again for a 21-17 Super Bowl 47 win. Two memories Tuck can take with him for the rest of his life.
