The Kansas City Chiefs released the running back after the video got out, as Hunt was also accused of punching a man in June. He was placed on the Commissioner's Exempt List before getting released, and is not eligible to play until the NFL completes the investigation. Sources say that the investigation is "still ongoing and nowhere near done."
Browns general manager John Dorsey has a history with Hunt, whom he drafted out of college when he was with the Chiefs. Dorsey claims that he talked to many people about Hunt, but did not speak with the woman involved in the domestic incident. The 23-year-old tailback apologized to the woman, the Chiefs, and his family in an interview on ESPN. He did the same in a statement through the Browns on Monday, but with a potential discipline still to come, it is unknown when he will actually play for the Browns.
