The Cleveland Browns have already had a tough start to their season, and it got a little tougher earlier this week. Rookie wide receiver, Corey Coleman, fractured his hand during Wednesday's practice, and he is expected to miss four to six weeks.
The injury reportedly occurred after Coleman caught a touchdown pass, but had his hand landed on during the play. Following practice, the rookie had x-rays done on the hand, which revealed the severity of the injury.
Coleman was drafted 15th overall out of Baylor during this past year's draft. He looked impressive in last week's 25-20 loss to the Ravens, catching five passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns.
The Browns have had bad luck with injuries already during the first few weeks of the NFL season. Quarterbacks Robert Griffin III and Josh McCown have both gone down, forcing them to start third-string QB Cody Kessler against Miami. They have also lost defensive lineman Carl Nassib to a broken bone in his hand.
It was already projected to be a struggling year for the Browns coming into the season, but the injury bug has just about deflated the team during their 0-2 start.
