The Blues have now won nine in a row for the first time since October 15th to November 5th of the 2002 season. They are one win shy of tying their record 10 in a row, which was set in January of 2002. Zach Sanford and Jaden Schwartz also scored for the St. Louis, who now has 30 wins on the season and sit two points ahead of the Dallas Stars for third place. During Tarasenko's current point streak, he has 10 goals and nine assists, good for 19 points. The streak is the longest of his NHL career, and supported Allen, who was making just his second start since January 17th. Binnington has won seven games in a row, which is the longest such streak for a goaltender in Blues history.
St. Louis is right back at it on Sunday with their streak on the line when they visit the Minnesota Wild on NBC. Meanwhile, the last-place Avalanche will play host to the third-place Las Vegas Golden Knights on Monday night.
